Fung is on a mission to build the next-generation Payment Service Provider (PSP 3.0) that provides infrastructure for high growth merchants to power their online businesses with seamless payment services. Our team has decades of experience in engineering, commercial, and compliance from the traditional payments world.

At Fung, we leverage our deep understanding of payments and modern cloud computing paradigms to build a regulated platform that supports web2 and web3 payments in a seamless way. Our goal is to provide a payments solution that helps high growth merchants achieve their full potential by simplifying their payment processes and enabling them to scale quickly.

How will you make an impact?

Fung is building its finance team and you will be a part of the foundation team. During your internship, you will have the opportunity to learn about the financial side of running a regulated payment institution and FinTech. You will bring your newly minted accounting and finance skills to a workplace that will give you an opportunity to shine.

Responsibilities

• Learn the fundamentals of accounting and payment operations through on-the-job and formal training
• Participate in top secret finance projects that will be the foundation of Fung's future success
• Assist with the day-to-day financial control activities
• Prepare financial reports and analysis for management
• Enhance the structure, templates and checklist for close activities and audit

Support from a highly skilled team with payments workshops and one-to-one training will help you to succeed.

Experience and skills

• Currently studying towards your Bachelor or Master in: Business, Finance, Accountancy or Economics.  
  If you have studied in another field but have a passion to expand into the finance field - we would love to consider your application.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail (accuracy)
• You have an interest in FinTech and Payments - you want to learn everything there is to know about this awesome industry
• An entrepreneurial spirit – eager and ambitious self-starter
• Commercial mindset
• Advanced user of Excel or Google Sheets
• Business fluency in English

Experienced Payments guru with over 10 years in Financial services in startup, scale-up & enterprise. Leading a number of teams, over many successful projects. Keen sense of humour, the embodiment of Dutch direct communication, no BS mentality.

CPTO — Konstantin Indjov
Core-developer at a Bitcoin Exchange (CleverCoin) in 2015; Core-developer at Full-Stack Payments Platform (Dimebox), acquired by Verifone; Architect for Global E-commerce @ Verifone; Serial startup die-hard, runs Bulgarian blood.

Chief Legal & Compliance — Andrei Valeanu
Multiple financial companies (Nationale Nederlanden, Ingenico). Built the compliance program at Uber and lead development of a proprietary in-house AML model to enable mass-scale onboarding of customers. The internal police. Descendant of Transylvania.
